Custom Nismo Layout LED Circuit Board Development & Complete Retrofit Rebuild

This service covers the rebuilding of both Nissan Skyline R34 tail light assemblies, replacing the existing plastic LED mounting panels and glued components with newly developed, custom-manufactured LED circuit boards.

The updated conversion will preserve the exact same existing Nismo LED layout, including the original LED positioning, arrangement, and overall visual appearance.

Unlike the original conversion, which utilized plastic mounting panels with individually installed and secured LED components, the updated conversion will use purpose-designed printed circuit boards (PCBs) to provide a more integrated, organized, and professional internal construction.

This project involves developing new circuit boards based on the existing Nismo layout, manufacturing the custom components, and rebuilding both existing tail light assemblies.

The customer has already submitted a partial payment toward the initial design and development phase. The remaining project work will proceed according to the payment milestones outlined below.

🔧 Project Overview & Scope of Work

The objective of this project is to replace the existing internal LED mounting and installation method with a newly developed circuit board-based construction while preserving the original Nismo LED layout.

Planned Work

• Preserve the existing Nismo LED layout, including the original LED positioning, arrangement, and visual appearance.
• Develop custom printed circuit boards that reproduce the existing Nismo LED layout.
• Replace the original plastic LED mounting panels and glued LED components.
• Manufacture the newly designed circuit boards and obtain the required electronic components.
• Rebuild both tail light assemblies using the new circuit board-based construction.
• Complete the necessary electrical integration, functionality testing, and final assembly.

Important: This project is a reconstruction of the existing Nismo-style LED conversion. It is not a redesign of the LED layout or appearance.

The objective is to improve the internal construction while preserving the original Nismo layout already established in the customer's tail lights.

This is a complete retrofit rebuild of both existing tail light assemblies, not a purchase of new tail light housings.

The scope is limited to the agreed LED retrofit rebuild and associated components. Additional modifications or features not included in the original agreement may require separate authorization and charges.

💳 Three-Stage Payment Structure

The project is divided into three payment stages corresponding to circuit board development, manufacturing, and final retrofit completion.

Payment amounts are based on the agreed project quotation.

🔹 Phase 1: Nismo Circuit Board Design & Development

Payment Status: Partially Paid

The customer has already submitted a partial payment toward the initial design and development stage.

This phase includes:

• Evaluating the existing Nismo LED arrangement and internal mounting configuration.
• Developing replacement circuit boards that reproduce the original Nismo LED layout.
• Preserving the existing LED positions, spacing, and overall arrangement.
• Designing the circuit traces, electrical connections, and component placement.
• Preparing the required PCB design files and manufacturing specifications.

The previously received payment will be credited toward the agreed Phase 1 cost.

ZLEDS will proceed with circuit board development according to the agreed project scope and production schedule.

🔹 Phase 2: Custom Circuit Board Manufacturing

Payment Status: Pending

Once the circuit board designs are completed and ready for manufacturing, ZLEDS will notify the customer.

This phase includes:

• Ordering and manufacturing the custom-designed Nismo-layout LED circuit boards.
• Sourcing the required LEDs, electronic components, and supporting materials.
• Preparing the newly manufactured components for installation.
• Verifying the manufactured circuit boards before final integration, as applicable.

The second payment is required before custom circuit board manufacturing begins.

Manufacturing will proceed once the required payment has been received and the project has been scheduled for production.

🔹 Phase 3: Completed Retrofit & Final Payment

Payment Status: Due Upon Completion

After the custom circuit boards have been manufactured, ZLEDS will complete the physical retrofit rebuild of both tail light assemblies.

This stage includes:

• Removing or replacing the existing plastic LED mounting panels and glued LED components as required.
• Installing the new custom Nismo-layout circuit board assemblies.
• Completing the required internal wiring and electrical connections.
• Preserving the original Nismo LED appearance and arrangement.
• Performing functionality testing and final inspection.
• Preparing both completed tail light assemblies for return shipment.

The third and final payment is requested only after the retrofit rebuild has been completed.

The final invoice will include the remaining agreed project balance and applicable return shipping postage.

Completed assemblies will be shipped after the final payment and return postage have been received in full.

⚠️ Service Payment Terms & Conditions

• All service payments are non-refundable, subject to applicable law.
• Previously received payment: The customer's existing partial payment toward Phase 1 will be credited to the agreed project cost.
• Separate payment milestones: The second payment is required before manufacturing begins. The final payment is collected after the retrofit rebuild is completed.
• Existing Nismo layout: The new circuit boards will reproduce the existing Nismo LED arrangement. Changes to the LED layout or visual design are not included in the agreed service.
• Custom R&D processing: This project involves newly designed circuit boards and custom manufacturing. Production times may vary due to design requirements, material availability, and manufacturing schedules.
• Production queue priority: Standard retrofit orders are prioritized over custom R&D projects due to their shorter turnaround times.
• Development payment deadline: The customer must respond and complete the requested next-phase payment within 7 calendar days of notification to maintain the project's reserved production position.
• Completed project payment deadline: Once the retrofit is completed and the final invoice is issued, the outstanding balance and return shipping postage must be paid within 72 hours.
• Additional development requirements: Unforeseen technical issues, manufacturing changes, or additional customer-requested features may require additional charges, which will be communicated before proceeding with the affected work.
• Project scope: The service covers the agreed retrofit rebuild. Existing components outside the agreed replacement scope are not automatically included in the rebuild.
• Unclaimed assemblies: Customer-supplied assemblies remaining at ZLEDS following cancellation, inactivity, or failure to arrange return shipment are subject to the separate 90-Day Unclaimed Property Policy, beginning with a property retrieval notification and subject to applicable law.

📦 Shipping & Customer-Supplied Assemblies

This service applies to the customer's existing Nissan Skyline R34 tail light assemblies.

If the assemblies have not already been delivered to ZLEDS, please do not ship them until instructed to do so.

When shipping, include a printed note containing your full name, return shipping address, and ZLEDS order number.

Customer-Supplied Assemblies

Existing tail light assemblies may contain aged plastic components, previous modifications, deteriorated seals, or other conditions that could affect disassembly and reconstruction.

Because this project requires removing and replacing portions of the existing retrofit installation, some original internal components may not be reusable.

ZLEDS will take reasonable care during the rebuild, but pre-existing deterioration, damage, or construction limitations may affect the work required.
